Indigo Software and Alertim Team Up to Deliver Critical Information through Revolutionary Push Server

Indigo's presence and instant messaging technology will be integrated into the Alertim Push Server to deliver urgent notifications on a large variety of media

Paris, France and San Francisco, CA, December 06, 2002 - Indigo Software, the leading provider of SIP-based solutions, has today announced their strategic partnership with the French company Alertim, the most prominent European provider of push solutions. The partnership is aimed at integrating the Indigo presence and instant messaging technology with Alertim's Push Server for presence-enabled event notification. The resulting offering provides failproof delivery of any type of alert onto a comprehensive range of media depending on user preference.

A SIP standard-based solution, the Alertim-Indigo co-development capitalizes on the tremendous success of Microsoft Windows® Messenger and allows enterprises and notification service providers to instantly reach distributed workforces, mobile agents or simply everyday consumers.

The media supported by legacy notification systems so far have been fax, voicemail, email and SMS. Now, Indigo-powered notification systems can manage user presence information in real time and selectively deliver urgent messages and alerts to the aforementioned media and finally also to Microsoft Windows® Messenger.

According to a predefined list of delivery modes, the new solution will first detect recipientŐs location and accessible media, and then send him the relevant alert via IM on Windows Messenger or via SMS on a mobile phone, for example. This smart delivery not only enables fast and efficient notification but also avoids costly duplication of notifications on multiple channels.

"We are thrilled about this opportunity to provide the Indigo presence and IM dimension to the long-established Alertim solution," said Marijke van Remortel, Director of Sales and Marketing at Indigo Software. "With people wanting or needing to remain on the ball wherever they may be, the power of presence and IM ultimately ensures timely delivery of content that can be extremely important," continued Marijke.

"Presence and IM are key technologies in busy corporate environments, typically, and Indigo is clearly the leader in this field," stated Thomas Gyemant, Director at Alertim. "Alertim is very pleased to have the opportunity to work closely with Indigo Software in providing alerts and notifications on a broad range of media to a continuously growing customer base."
