Indigo Software Unveils Superior SIP Engines
to Skyrocket Internet Communications Market

Indigo introduces an unprecedented ensemble of SIP-based products at Supercomm,
giving service providers clear blueprints to take Internet communications to a higher level

ATLANTA, GA - June 6, 2001 - Indigo Software, a leading SIP infrastructure software developer, unveiled today at Supercomm 2001 the latest release of its SIP-based Internet communications product suite. This re-engineered and functionality-increased set of client and network side infrastructure components represents the most comprehensive offering of SIP technology in the industry to date.

The entirely Java-based product suite currently consists of a tight ensemble of SIP servers - Proxy, Registrar, Redirect, Location and CPL (Call Processing Language) - and is complemented by market-oriented end user products such as the Indigo CPL Editor TM, which allows self-configuration of communications services, and the ground-breaking Indigo PIM (Presence and Instant Messaging) ClientTM.

"With such an unparalleled array of SIP solutions and development tools, Indigo continues to single itself out as a best-of-class Internet infrastructure developer," said Emmanuel Bertrand, CEO and CTO of Indigo Software. "It is the natural result of the long-running commitment of Indigo to the delivery of SIP-powered technology."

"Our product portfolio now comprises several first-to-market solutions that have taken the industry by surprise," said Nicolas Zastavni, Software Development Manager at Indigo. " In particular, our latest releases include this exciting Presence and Instant Messaging solution built exclusively on SIP, as yet the only standards-based IM product available."

Indigo Software has made a name for itself through active participation in the principal SIP technology testing events - such as SIP bake-offs and Level 3's (3)Works program - guaranteeing a proven level of maturity and interoperability of its products with other leading vendors. Consequently, Indigo has attracted and teamed with several industry leaders, among them Cisco Systems, Commworks Inc. (a 3Com company), Sonus Networks Inc., Pingtel Inc. and NetNumber Inc., through strategic partnerships and alliances.

Indigo Software announced the general availability of the following Internet infrastructure components: Indigo SIP Proxy ServerTM 3.1, Indigo SIP Registrar ServerTM 3.1, Indigo SIP Location ServerTM 3.1, Indigo SIP User AgentTM 2.5, Indigo CPL EditorTM 2.1 and Indigo CPL ServerTM 2.1, and the forthcoming release of the Indigo PIM ClientTM and Indigo PIM ServerTM scheduled for later this year.

The products are available either as software development kits (SDKs) or as stand-alone applications and can be seen at a number of partner booths during Supercomm, including the Sonus Networks Live Demo and the Commworks compatible booth.
