NetNumber and Indigo Software Form Strategic Partnership
to Advance IP-based Communications

Supporting NetNumber's ENUM Service will allow Indigo Software
to offer its customers a broader SIP-based product suite

LOWELL, MA and SAN FRANCISCO, CA - April 23, 2001 - NetNumber, Inc., a pioneer in the development of carrier-grade commercial ENUM services, announced today that it will partner with Indigo Software, a leading Internet infrastructure company to facilitate the deployment of wholly transparent, network access numbering technologies. The alliance will help service providers to deliver enhanced Internet communications solutions based on NetNumber's ENUM Service and Indigo Software's Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-based product ensemble.

By turning telephone numbers into Internet numbers, ENUM, a standard of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), enables the smooth transition of telecommunications services over to IP networks. A single phone number registered with the NetNumber ENUM Service can reach IP-PBXs, IP phones and SIP proxy servers, as well as PDAs or any other IP-capable device. When combined with Indigo SIP solutions, the NetNumber ENUM Service offers consumers simplicity in communications and offers businesses lower administrative costs.

With a streamlined ensemble of Internet-infrastructure software solutions for real time communications, Indigo has made a name for itself as a visionary software designer within the fast-moving service provider community. Indigo furnishes the industry with an outstanding SIP-based product suite that shapes concrete business opportunities for service providers who know their customer base.

Glenn Marschel, CEO of NetNumber said, "Indigo's determination to advance IP communications through interoperable, standards-based technology is complementary to NetNumber's mission. Our integrated solutions will further enable businesses and individuals to effortlessly move from the traditional PSTN to more functional, lower cost Internet-based communications."

"By eliminating the need for complex provisioning and configuration, the NetNumber ENUM Service permits rapid adoption of IP communications," said Edward Keegan, Head of Business Development at Indigo Software. "Our partnership with NetNumber increases the functionality of our product ensemble and helps service providers avoid costly routing over the PSTN."
