LAS VEGAS, NV - November 17 , 2000 - Among the bright lights of neon Las Vegas, a world class demonstration of full-IP communications software based entirely on Java^TM technology was given by Indigo Software at Comdex this week. Technology hungry delegates were shown the Internet way for integrated communications at Indigo's hub, in a sustained innovation showcase.

In a loop of applications for converged networks, Indigo spotlighted its Java technology-based ensemble of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) products. Used to establish real-time, personal communications over IP networks, SIP is a prominent IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) standard and is recognized as the catalyst for the introduction of Internet mixed-media applications. These include voice, video, streaming media, chat, presence and instant messaging, seamlessly blended with Web and email.
