Executive Board Members

Brian Gray - President and CEO, Indigo Software, Inc.

Brian joined Indigo Software as CEO in November 2002. He has over 15 years' general management experience and 20 years' sales and marketing experience. Brian has a strong technical background and significant sales and marketing experience in the high tech business and enterprise software business. In addition to generating sales throughout Europe, Brian has extensive experience of opening up USA and Pacific Rim sales territories. Most recently he was COO and then CEO of Orbital Software, an enterprise application software company. At Orbital he was involved in several rounds of VC funding, an IPO and then its eventual merger with another public company. Brian is a graduate in electronics and electrical engineering from Glasgow University, Scotland.

Daniel Fustier - Chairman of the Board

Daniel provides interim executive consultancy in strategy and organization, specializing in turnarounds, activity redeployment, mergers and acquisitions. He joined Hewlett-Packard in 1979. In 1995, Daniel took on the role of Worldwide General Manager for HP System Integration Operation in healthcare, creating a worldwide Software and Professional Services organization. In 1997, he took over the European Test and Measurement Services Organization. His final role as General Manager of the Global E-process software division was to resurrect HP middleware and make it a core part of HP's software strategy. Daniel holds a Masters of Science degree in chemical engineering and applied chemistry from University of Toronto, Canada, an industrial engineering degree from Ecole Centrale of Lille, France, and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.

Emmanuel Bertrand - Founder and CTO, Indigo Software, Inc.

Emmanuel founded Indigo Software in 1999 with a vision to turn the SIP technology into cutting-edge products for the ever-expanding Internet communications market. As the company's founding CEO, Emmanuel has led Indigo Software through two successful rounds of venture funding in 2000 and 2002. Prior to Indigo Software, Emmanuel was network architecture research engineer at Alcatel's Corporate Research Center, where he assisted the company in fully grasping the emerging Internet telephony revolution of 1997. Emmanuel is a graduate in electrical engineering from the University of Louvain, Belgium.

Alain Azan - Managing Director, Sofinnova Ventures, Inc.

Alain joined Sofinnova in Paris in 1983 and took responsibility for Sofinnova's US operations in 1987. During his 18 years' experience as a venture capitalist, he has made numerous successful investments in the Information Technology sector, mainly on the West Coast: Phone.com, Sandpiper, Tumbleweed Communications, Premisys Communications, Ray Dream, Network Peripherals, Right Point Software (acquired by Epiphany), Centrum Communications. Recently he has also invested in Nishan Systems, Quarry Technologies and Narad Networks to name a few. He currently serves on the Board of Beamreach Networks, Arexsys, KXEN and Indigo Software. Alain studied mechanical engineering and economics at the Marseilles-Luminy University in France, then completed his academics with an MBA from the INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France).

Rudi Severijns - Senior Investment Manager, GIMV

Rudi joined GIMV as Senior Investment Manager in 2000. He was previously employed by Siemens for more than 10 years in various management positions on an international level. In his last assignment with Siemens as a Business Line Manager, he participated in starting up an international business unit for emerging IP-based applications. Rudi holds an engineering degree in electronics, complemented with an MBA. He is currently a member of the board of Indigo Software Inc. (US), Intuwave Ltd (UK) and ORMvision (BE).
